About Silver Lake Camp

AdanacSilver Lake Camp is situated on a 225 acre site overlooking Silver Lake, at Kinloss off Highway 9.

Its open green fields and sparkling waterfront are nestled within surrounding forests.

The camp offers programs for children of all ages, with 3 and 4 night camps for younger children to week-long camps for teens. At the end of the summer we nearly double our staff for an unforgettable youth experience. With both main site camps and wilderness camps to choose from, there is something for everyone!

Our programs offer lots of exciting activities: lake swimming, canoeing, water games, arts and crafts, drama, archery, sports, low ropes course, overnight campouts, cookouts, silly games, co-operative games and camp-wide games. When not adventuring, campers enjoy worship and singing, skits, small group discussion and plenty of free time to explore, hang-out and meet new friends. The wilderness program includes many of the main site activities, but also includes a special focus on basic camping skills, nature and teaching about God's creation.

All main site camps hold 60-70 campers, while wilderness camps hold 15-20 campers per session.

Upcoming Events and Other News

This year the annual work bee will take place on May 26, 2012 from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.
The camp work bee is a great place to get re-acquainted with old camp friends, and earn a great meal of roast beef, mashed potatoes and homemade desserts. We spend one day of the year making the camp a better place to go, from painting to cleaning to grass cutting etc. We could use a helping hand, passion to make life new every spring. The Work Bee is the best time to bring the kids to get them familiar with a new camp. Come anytime we’ll be there all day. For more information please call: Walter Grose: 1-519-846-5329 (days), or email walter@silverlakecamp.ca

Silver Lake Camp's
Mission Statement

Our goal at Silver Lake Camp is to share the good news of Jesus Christ, of His resurrection and of the promise of new life in Him.

To do this, we make Christ central to all aspects of our programs, leadership and camp community. Much of our focus revolves around building honest, positive relationships with Jesus.

By setting an example in our own lives, it is our hope that we can communicate the value and nature of a personal relationship with Christ himself.
