In February, we receive applications for all our staff positions. We know that many staff will be returning with great passion to build on summer's past. We also look forward to new staff from Leadership Development Camp, our amazing 2011 volunteers or other backgrounds.
All applicants are encouraged to prayerfully consider their decision and we do the same through the hiring process. Our goal is to put together the best possible team we can, so that we will be ready to love and serve the wonderful Silver Lake campers under our care in 2012.
Please pray for the application process, that all involved can be sensitive to God's leading.

I'm excited to return to Silver Lake this summer. Our vision is for a wonderful and unique summer that builds on the incredible past. With Christ at the centre, Silver Lake will be a rich place for staff and campers to discover God's love and hear God's voice through friendship, creativity and life-changing experiences.
September 2011
Our summer 2011 theme was "Dare to Care." Our staff of 26, plus an outstanding crew of volunteers, dared to care for over 488 campers. In response, campers brought seemingly endless energy week after week. So many incredible moments and amazing young people! Rock bands, crazy skits, camp-out adventures, original art, epic games, awesome singing, cabin parties, mud pits, canoe wars, diving dock fun, counsellor hunts, great group times, Christ Candles, and countless memories. Thank you to everyone!

We love because God first loved us. We can dare to care, because we are loved unconditionally by God. We can take chances because God is with us. When we follow Jesus, we discover how to care and we find the power to care. We hope all campers will remember how much they are loved and act on the incredible gifts they have been given. As Silver Lake campers put their faith into action, the world becomes a better place.
This past summer, many new camps were introduced at Main Site and Wilderness. Encouraged by a fantastic summer, Silver Lake leaders are working on a plan that builds on summer 2011 with new visions and improvements. We look forward to MANY return campers in summer 2012 and encourage campers and families to invite friends who can discover the wonders of Silver Lake Camp.
